The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais confirms an outbreak of Covid-19 among the staff of the RONA de Val-des-Monts, located at 1839 Route du Carrefour in Val-des-Monts. Indeed, 11 cases have been reported among the workers.

The risk is considered low for clients. Nevertheless, people who attended the store between January 17 and 23 are invited to monitor the appearance of symptoms and to contact 1-877-644-4545 to make an appointment for screening if symptoms develop.

The Public health department of the CISSS de l’Outaouais supports the company’s managers during this period in order to assist them with the health measures that need to be put in place. RONA Val-des-Monts managers have decided to temporarily close the business. The workplace health team from the Public health department visited the location and is providing support in the enforcement of preventive measures in collaboration with the CNESST.

At any time, people who develop symptoms of Covid-19 can access the Covid-19 symptom self-assessment tool available online.
