This weekend the village of Chapeau on L’Isle-aux-Allumettes will host their annual Islandfest celebrations. All activities are taking place at the Chapeau RA grounds, next door to the Harrington Community Centre.
Things get underway Friday night with a performance from Adam’s Buoys. On Saturday, there will be something for everyone, with live music, a ball tournament, clowns, a car show and even a reptile show. At 1 p.m., the local Lions Club will be holding their annual rubber duck race on the river. Saturday evening’s entertainment will be provided by Ottawa Valley legend Gail Gavan and the Jones Family Band.
Community development officer Chantal Lair spoke with CHIP 101.9 about what people can expect over the course of the weekend.
