Nearly $ 1.4 million extra for road upkeep in the Pontiac

The Québec government has announced additional financial assistance of $ 1,373,836 for the maintenance of local roads in 14 municipalities in the Pontiac. The member of the National Assembly for Pontiac and Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Electrification of Transportation, André Fortin talks about the announcement;

This money, which raises the total to $ 4.9M, represents a 38% increase in the amount compared to the financial assistance granted in 2017 by the government. The Mayor of Rapides-des-Joachims James Gibson and Mayor of Clarendon John Armstrong welcomed the news with great enthusiasm.

André Fortin was excited to present to the mayors the announced amount available this year.
