The management team at l’établissement des Petits-Ponts unveiled its new logo last night at the Council of Commissioners meeting held at Sieur-de-Coulonge. Mansfield resident, Céline Romain’s logo was chosen as part of a contest last October.

The drawing is a blue star surrounded by logs forming bridges around the stars corners and green pellets representing different aspects of schooling. The initials EPP is in the middle of the logo.

Short description of the logo (provided by Céline Romain):
– The 5 arms that form the star represent the rivers and the sustained school efforts that, once brought together, make it possible to achieve success. The star is often used as a symbol of excellence.
– The “Small Bridges” are represented by logs. The way they are arranged can also represent log driving.
– The letters ÉPP (Establishment des Petits-Ponts) are suspended by “iron cables” similar to those installed at Chutes Coulonge.
– The green color is a symbol green forests.

The ÉPP has added green to Ms. Romain’s original drawing, representing the school, family, community, students and the future.

ÉPP Director Denis Rossignol explains why the managements chose Mme. Romain’s logo.

Last June, the Établissement Primaire Pontiac changed its name to l’Établissement des Petits-Ponts. The contest winner, Céline Romain, was awarded $ 50.
