Update of the flood situation with the mayors Gilles Dionne and Gaston Allard

The municipalities of Fort-Coulonge and Mansfield have begun evacuating some residents in the last hours in the areas most affected by the floods. François Carrier gives an update with the mayors Gaston Allard and Gilles Dionne.

A shelter has been set up at Sieur-de-Coulonge High School for evacuated citizens and municipalities are in communication with the Red Cross.

In the village of Fort-Coulonge, the sewage system has been closed and citizens advised to leave their homes located on the following streets:
-Rue Baume (part of it)
-Rue Francoeur
-Rue Gervais
-Rue Bertrand
-Rue du Centre Récréatif
-Rue Beaulieu
-Chemin du Bord de l’Eau
-Rue Rose
-Rue Miron
-Rue Desrochers
-Rue Boisvert

In Mansfield, the following areas are also very affected by the flood:
-Chemin de la chute (at Terry fox)
-Rue Laporte
-Rue L’écuyer
-Rue Neault
-Chemin de la Passe at house #122
-Chemin du grand-marais at house #220
-Chemin du Thomas-Lefebvre, (from chemin du Quai to 270 chemin Thomas-Lefebvre)
-Rue du Quai
-Chemin Esprit
-Rue Léonard
-Rue Boisvert
-Rue Mousseau
-Rue Bélec
-Rue Whelan
-Rue Pearson
-Chemin des rapides

Regarding the Félix-Gabriel Marchand and Pont Blanc bridges, both are under close surveillance, and residents can still safely travel on the Pont Blanc.

For security purposes, municipalities ask residents not to use flooded streets. It was reported that the authorities are on the ground to inform residents of the steps to take.
