The number of active COVID-19 cases has increased significantly as of today (April 12). According to the results from the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais, the Local Service Network (RLS) currently has 46 active cases, almost the double of the number from last week. It is therefore a total of 161 cases that were found on the territory of the RLS Pontiac since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller, once again asked the population to be extra careful. She says she has noticed a significant relaxation of the population since the arrival of good weather.
Elsewhere in the Outaouais, the situation is not much better with 1,024 active cases. The city of Gatineau has 742 active cases, the territory of the MRC Papineau 96, the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais 87 and the Vallée-de-la Gatineau indicates 38 cases.
